I haven’t updated in awhile. I should have some scans of prints next week. For now, here’s a short 30 second camera test animation I did for class:
Camera Test – Landscape from Ashley Williams on Vimeo.
Some stuff I’ve been working on for my 3D animation class. These are some basic things everyone has to make. The past few weeks have been about learning how to use Lightwave Modeler.
We had to make a house. Mine came out looking like a church or something.
Unfortunately I don’t have any sketches or finished works to post this weekend. School just started Monday, and my life is looking pretty busy for the next semester. Despite being really busy (and probably stressed) for the next few weeks, I’m very excited. I’m going to be trying out different types of media and techniques. My classes include Graphic Design IV (3D Animation), Sculpture I, and Printmaking I.
Mr. Blake Pearce, my Printmaking I teacher, mentioned that some students have difficulty talking about their outside influences. I can see that being the case for myself when I first started college. I’ve been able to find artists who appeal to me through assigned presentations and papers. Hopefully I’ll be able to articulate that up on a stage with everyone watching me.
Here’s a list of my main influences, discussing a little bit of information about them and why they inspire me.
